RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Involved in the operation of producing therapeutic protein from mammalian cells. The operations are bioreactor, separation and purification steps.
- For each section, there were standard of operations that must be performed in order to obtain the desired product
EXPERIENCE GAINED:
- Handling 2L and 5L size bioreactor and Kvick Lab system for filtration steps
- Operating AKTApilot and AKTAexplorer system for purification
- Analytical methods such as SDS-PAGE, ELISA and IEF
- Aseptic techniques in handling mammalian cell culture.
